Who we are

PDFImageTools (pdfimagetools.online) is operated by CONVERENTIS DIGITAL VENTURE, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at support@pdfimagetools.online.

1. Your files never leave your device

All file processing on pdfimagetools.online happens locally in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Files you select are read by your own device and are never transmitted to, stored on, or accessible by our servers. We have no technical ability to view the contents of your files.

2. Local storage

The site stores limited data in your browser's localStorage: processing history (tool names, file counts and sizes — never file contents), saved option presets, and display preferences. You can clear this at any time from the History page or your browser settings.

3. Accounts and cloud storage

Accounts are optional — every tool works without one. If you create an account we store your email address, an optional display name and avatar, and your plan. Projects, processing history entries (tool names, file counts and sizes) and files are only saved when you explicitly choose to save them. Saved files are held in private storage that only your account can open, and you can delete them at any time. Free accounts include 1 GB of storage and Pro includes 10 GB; the limit is enforced by our database when you save.

4. Payments

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly by Paddle.com, which acts as our reseller and Merchant of Record and handles your payment details. We never see or store your card information. We keep only your subscription status, billing cycle and the identifiers Paddle needs, so that your Pro access can be switched on and off correctly.

4a. What personal data we collect, why, and on what basis

• Account data (email address, optional display name and avatar, login credentials held by our authentication provider) — to create and secure your account and provide the service. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Subscription data (plan, status, billing cycle, Paddle subscription and price identifiers) — to give and withdraw Pro access correctly and to meet accounting and tax obligations. Basis: contract and legal obligation.
• Content you choose to save (projects, saved files, processing history entries such as tool names, file counts and sizes) — to provide cloud storage and history. Basis: contract. Nothing is saved unless you explicitly save it.
• Support messages — to answer your questions. Basis: legitimate interests in supporting our users.
• Technical and usage data (IP address, device and browser information, aggregate page and tool usage events) — for security, fraud prevention, reliability and product improvement. Basis: legitimate interests.

4b. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: service providers and subprocessors that host our infrastructure, database, storage, authentication and email delivery; Paddle.com as Merchant of Record for the sale of Pro, subscription management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance; advertising providers as described below; professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers where needed; and public authorities where we are legally required to disclose. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

4c. Retention

Account, project, history and saved-file data is kept while your account is open and is deleted when you delete the item or your account. Billing and transaction records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Security and technical logs are kept for a short period. Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.

4d. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of or objection to processing, and a portable copy; you can withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and complain to your data protection supervisory authority. Email support@pdfimagetools.online and we will respond within one month.

4e. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, per-account access controls on saved files, and least-privilege access to our systems. Because file processing happens in your browser, your file contents are never exposed to us in the first place.

4f. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Advertising cookies may be set by Google AdSense for guests and Free accounts, as described below; you can manage or block cookies in your browser settings and opt out of personalised ads through Google's controls. We do not use marketing cookies for our own campaigns.

5. Analytics

We may collect privacy-respecting, aggregate usage statistics (page views and tool usage events) that contain no file contents, file names, or personally identifying information. Analytics providers, when enabled, are configured without cookies or cross-site tracking.

6. Advertising

Ads are shown to guests and Free accounts only — Pro is completely ad-free. If advertising is enabled, ads are served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Ad placements are never inserted into upload, processing, or download flows.
