About PDFImageTools

PDFImageTools is a free suite of PDF and image utilities with one unusual property: your files are never uploaded. Every tool — merging PDFs, compressing images, extracting text with OCR — runs entirely inside your browser using open-source engines like pdf-lib, PDF.js and Tesseract.js.

Most online file tools work by sending your documents to a server, processing them there, and asking you to trust that they're deleted afterwards. We think that's backwards. Modern browsers are fast enough to do this work locally, so we built tools that never see your files in the first place.

What this means in practice

• Contracts, medical records and personal photos stay on your device.
• The tools keep working even if you disconnect from the internet.
• There are no upload size queues or daily conversion caps imposed by a server.
• Processing history is stored in your own browser — and you can clear it any time.

The tools are free for everyone. Ad placements, when enabled, are kept strictly outside the working area — they never sit between you and your files.
